Hyehwa is also often referred to as λνλ‘, or “college street.” Here you’ll find street food vendors galore, as well as outdoor art installations and theatre and galleries. People stand outside venues, passing out flyers with information on the latest plays and musical productions, but you can also enjoy these for free, as Hyehwa is also a bustling busking area.
From the outside, it looks like a small, quaint cafe, but inside is some of the best coffee you’ll have in Korea, as well as dancing, colorful lights from the tinted windows.

Inside, there is a waiting list for seats but it didn’t take long for my friend and I to be seated. It is a small room compared to the vast, multi-storied Coffee Hanyakbang in Euljiro 3-ga, but has similar decor and just as much charm.

As per usual, I ordered a pour-over and slice of chocolate cake and my friend ordered a milk-based espresso drink and some sort of biscuit-y mousse tart.

As mentioned, the cafe is merely one small room so definitely be prepared to wait for a table during the busier times. The cafe itself is a little out of way, but a wonderful walk through Hyehwa to get to, and definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of the other Coffee Hanyakbang.
