Namsangol Hanok Village is a “recreated village of historical Korean buildings” that seeks to represent all aspects of Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) life, from that of royalty to that of peasants. Several of the hanoks, or traditional Korean houses, are furnished as accurately as possible. On the premise is a beautiful garden which, as it was January, was frozen over and covered in snow.
The Seoul Millennium Time Capsule is also located on the site, set to be open in 2394, if the world is still around then. Admission is free, open 9am to 9pm and closed on Mondays.
