Flower Cafe Of Your Dreams, City Garden

I visited this beautiful flower cafe on a rainy Tuesday morning after running an errand. Even though the opening time was stated as 10am, the doors were open at 9:45 and I was warmly welcomed in from the rain.

I had a delicious hand-drip coffee and slice of cinnamon cake while brushing up on some Korean vocabulary. Soft orchestral music played throughout the cafe, interrupted once by a fruit truck slowly driving down the street, announcing its available wares over a squeaky speaker. A single ahjumma came out of a house to peruse the truck, and then it rolled away despite having not made a sale.

There were no other customers while I was there, and the worker at one point spread out a newspaper at the front counter to read. I assume it was early Tuesday morning, in the rain, that was the reason for the silence. The cafe is probably very busy on the weekends, or at least should be, seeing as how the atmosphere is very calm, the coffee and cake were good, and it is tucked away from a main road. There was also a larger table that you could reserve, set apart from the main seating area by plants.

Hopefully the next time I visit I can try their tea!
