Cafe Review: Foluite

Written by:

I discovered this cafe accidentally while trying to find an Indian restaurant where my friends and I were meeting near the Jonggak Avenue of Youth. Afterwards when the coffee bug hit, I was able to confidently say, “Hey, I know a cute looking cafe just around the corner” and prayed that the coffee would be decent. (It wasn’t once, and my friends love to remind me of that particular cafe with an unfortunate name.)

The space was small but crowded. Luckily for us, up a half flight of stairs was a second kind of loft seating with a couch that could seat all of us, so that’s where we sat.

They had many yummy cakes to choose from, and they also offer pour-over in a variety of blends in addition to espresso-based drinks. (And if you’re the Americano type, they have three choices of beans to choose from.) They had two Moica dutch coffee drippers on the wall but it seemed like they were either just started or were just for decoration, as there was no coffee currently dripping. They had ceramic cups and trendy art magazines on display on shelves around the cafe.

I got an iced pour-over and slice of chocolate cake and it was delicious.

Unfortunately, their instagram has not been used since 2022, but the cafe is still up and going as of this posting.
