Cafe Review: Blue Bottle, Yeoksam
spot the Blue Bottle

My silly little side quest of visiting all (permanent) Blue Bottle locations in Korea is quickly coming to its conclusion…

Blue Bottle in Yeoksam is on the first floor of a big building and features large, floor to ceiling windows that allow in a lot of natural light. The wood used in the interior design is light, as it often is in Blue Bottles, and fresh flowers adorn the espresso bar.

There is an adequate amount of seating here for the location; my friend found a seat easily and even as the cafe got busier, there were still empty seats.

There is a long counter at the window, which is where I took one of my favorite photos. What you can’t see is that one of the people must have been a dental student/assistant because they were watching animated how-tos on different dental surgeries such as root canals. (Wouldn’t be the weirdest thing to happen in a Blue Bottle…) There are also more intimate, two person mini-booths available along the wall that faces the interior of the building.

Overall, I quite liked this location. My pour-over was excellent as always, and my friend who was new to Blue Bottle enjoyed her drink as well. I’d come back to this location to do some studying.
